New Tablet - So you have a new iPad, a Galaxy from Samsung, a Windows Surface, a Lenovo or another make - what next?
The Apple iPad was the first touch screen tablet to sell in huge volume and for good reason. It is well designed, sleek, lightweight and desirable! There have been several iterations, iPad 1, 2, 3, 4 followed by the iPad Air, Air 2, and the iPad Pro, the newest, thinnest and most advanced yet, alongside its little brother, the iPad Mini and now the larger iPad Pro. iPads cost between £320 - £900 new depending on the memory (this could be 64, 128, 256 or 512 gigabytes) and physical size you select. Android tablets (so called because of their operating system, rather than Apple iOS) Google and Windows (the Surface) tablets followed the iPad into the market. They are available in similar sizes and functionality, but are cheaper - starting at £50 for a basic one. For example an Asus tablet costs £200 and is exactly the same screen size as an iPad.
One to one training sessions can take place in your home or in an internet cafe of your choice. (Group sessions are only possible if the participants have the same level of ability, and the same equipment). Sessions are normally between one and two hours but can run on if required. The following questions and synopsis will give you an idea whether it would suit you. (Two people purchased iPads as a result of coming on a workshop and are enjoying their varied uses already, other people have decided on Android.) To make a date, please call 07788 985764, or email melissabriggs2@gmail.com. If you have private training, you will be emailed a full set of notes so you do not need to worry if you cannot remember everything. You can also contact us via this website, (see the contact page,) to ask a question and we will publish the answer for you. If you need to obtain extra ongoing support, we can discuss a one to one session to cover specific topics.
