Dorothy: I am now housebound - my iPad is my lifeline and being able to order my medication online has removed a lot of worry from my shoulders.  You always come at short notice when I need a helping hand - thank you for all your help. 

Margaret: My laptop was running slower and slower, my old Android tablet was quite difficult to use.  After chatting to Melissa, I purchased an iPad.  It is quick and light and I have mastered printing out my photos with no wires.  It is a miracle and I am delighted.

Susan T: I had major problems with several hundred Powerpoint presentations the week before I was due to deliver a series of Uni lectures. I called Melissa and at very short notice she upgraded my MacBook, upgraded the office software, tested everything and got it back to me in under 8 hours so I could drive off as planned to give the lectures. A total lifesaver!

Dorothy: Melissa helped me upgrade from an Android tablet to an iPad. Whenever I am struggling a bit, she drops in to sort me out. I order my prescriptions online now and use it to practice my piano pieces. I am delighted with the progress I have made.

Peter: I had no idea I could use my contact book as a database and use it to help with marketing my business til Melissa showed me how it all worked. The fact that I can add data via my iMac, iPhone or MacBookAir is a real bonus and a great time saver.

John: I was given a laptop by my family, but I did not enjoy using it and found Windows 8 extremely difficult to understand after using an XP desktop. After a tablet demonstration, I purchased an Android tablet from Delta 9 in Stonehouse. How much easier it is to sit on the sofa and tap a screen! I am making good progress after two sessions with Melissa.


Roy: My Dell laptop reached its XP sell by date. Having had a demo from Melissa, I knew that an iPad can be attached to the TV, can go anywhere in the house because the wireless networking is so good, and so our iPad was bought fairly quickly after. Melissa come and set it up for us, gave us some training and left very detailed and helpful notes. I will be having another session once I have mastered the basics.

Mary: I have an old laptop, now very slow. Melissa came to my house and demonstrated an iPad. I am a convert and it is ordered. Melissa will be setting it up for me when it arrives.

Michael: A Windows laptop that I am familiar with, a new iPad (unexpected present) and an Android tablet that seemed a good idea at the time. Trying to master them all on my own was impossible. Melissa was recommended by Delta 9. My iPad is now set up with my various email accounts and access to the hobby websites that I am interested in. I have a way to go yet, but at least I have made a start and the iPad will be very useful when I am travelling. I will have some more sessions as soon as I have mastered the techniques that I have learned so far.

Mr C.: I was extremely wary of technology but when all my associates were on email, I realised I had to join them. Having an iPhone meant I did understand the principles, although I had no email account. I now have broadband, installed by Melissa, and a laptop, and am on top of email and checking out websites that I am interested in. I thought it was going to be a lot worse getting to grips with it all, but Melissa was remarkably patient and my fears have gradually receded as I understand more.

Brian: I recently purchased a complete package from Delta 9 - a refurbished laptop and a printer for £250.00. As a complete beginner I was having trouble getting started and finding my way round. Delta 9 recommended I give Melissa a call. She came over for an hour and an a half and I am now up and running. No longer scared - I know I can make a mistake, but I know how to put it right!

Babs: Hallo Melissa - I just want to say thank you for all you have done and the fantastic lessons you have given us to learn from. You may say it's just your job but you have given us so much more. I will try to do more practice of our lessons soon.

Jay Sherman: I have had just 3 sessions with Melissa Briggs, these being provided free to us through my management scheme. Being an OAP, I needed someone with patience, who would let me learn at my own pace. Melissa has been wonderful, her knowledge is amazing, so much so, we are going to set up a computer club and are going to take private lessons with her in the New Year. No matter how little you know about computers, Melissa will be able to help you. I have no hesitation in recommending her. Thank you so much Melissa from everyone at Laurel Court.

Carole: Thanks Melissa! A great tailor-made, individual session, which gave me excellent useful tips, and didn't make me feel a completely inadequate iPad user. Great info sheets to keep for later reference too: my knowledge has now moved on in leaps and bounds!

Ellen: I am gradually learning how to use my new iPad and feel encouraged by my progress since attending the beginner's workshop. It is reassuring to know how many others feel the same about new technology - slightly intimidated to start with, but it does get easier!

Susan: I have learnt so much with Melissa and now really enjoy using my iPad. There is so much you can do that I was not aware of, it is great. I really recommend some individual lessons and she is a patient teacher.

Susanna Kenney: I bought my iPad in December. I was really worried that I might delete something by mistake, but gradually I have learned to use email, remembered how to type, go shopping online, and use Skype. As I am mainly in my flat, this is proving to be a real godsend. Melissa has explained things very clearly and helped me when I have forgotten something yet again.

Sebastian O'Kelly: Melissa is that rare being: a female technologist, who really loves gadgets and knows how to use them. She is also a superb teacher. Owing to her I got to grips with my Android smart phone, discovered all sorts of not-so-obvious things on my MacBook Air as well as learning WordPress, the website blogging programme. National newspaper journalists have a certain truculence towards new things which come weighed down with a load of marketing waffle. But she was patient and offered the right balance of guidance and then time for improvisation. I owe her an enormous amount and am extremely grateful.

Ruth: When I thought I had lost my dissertation that had taken months to write, I was hugely stressed. Without Melissa's help I would never have found it. Not only that, she tidied up all my documents, taught me how to file them, and now I do not have to spend ages looking for something. A huge relief and I am delighted.

Rosemary Danby: Many thanks to Melissa who spent an hour with me today training me on the use of my new mini i-pad. It was an extremely useful experience. We covered all the basic information with lots of very useful tips. Everything was clearly explained with examples. The information sheets have reminded me of items covered. I now feel quite happy to explore the i-pad and get much more out of it.
