If you own a laptop like this, you will have access to all sorts of applications/programmes about which you may not know as much as you would like.  For example, word processing using Pages, spread sheets using Numbers, photo editing using iPhoto, iMovie for video editing, Stickies for quick notes,  etc.  Travelling with a laptop is easy - they are now slim and lightweight.  We recommend a protective case when you are on the move.
