LATEST NEWS -
March 2026 - the third iteration of iOS 26, 26.3. and 26.3.1 are available for download and installation on iPhones and iPads. The iPhones XR and XS are no longer supported so you cannot download iOS 26. They will still function for basis tasks but lack new security patches. You should upgrade to a newer model - perhaps the 14 or 15. These will be a lot cheaper than the latest model 17, and still have fantastic cameras and much better security features than iPhone X. There is a new model now available, the 17e - a more affordable option (£599) if you do want the latest version. It comes in three colours and supports fast wireless charging with MagSafe.
February 2026 - If your wireless printer is playing up, and you have updated your Windows system, have you installed the latest Windows 11 driver? If not, that could be the problem.
December 2025 - the second update of iOS 26 (26.2) became available for download. We have now upgraded our technology as the system seems stable.
November 2025 - various versions of the iPhone 17 are now freely available. The iPhone models 14, 15 and 16 are still available to purchase - and they are cheaper, if you do not need the latest AI features. (iPhones from the 11 series upwards are considered not obsolete and can support iOS 26 with new features and security. The iPhone XR/XS are nearing end of life for major updates.)
The latest major Apple Watch software is watchOS 26, featuring significant updates with Apple Intelligence, including a new "Liquid Glass" design, AI-powered Workout Buddy, Sleep Score, enhanced Smart Stack with suggested widgets, Live Translation in Messages, and new health insights like hypertension notifications, all requiring an iPhone 11 or later (with iOS 26) for compatible watches. For devices not supporting watchOS 26, watchOS 11 was the prior major update with its own fitness/health features, but watchOS 26 is now the current standard.
Microsoft Windows 11 and 10 are both tile based and easier to use than before. Support for Windows 10 was terminated in October 2025 so upgrading to 11 is the sensible option.
Delta Nine of Stonehouse stock a wider range of new and refurbished computer related technology. They also stock wireless printers that are able to print documents directly from a tablet, as long as the relevant printing app is loaded on the tablet. iPads are available locally from John Lewis, Argos, and two Western Computer branches in Cirencester and Cheltenham and online direct from suppliers. They are solely Apple stockists and carry the whole range of Apple products, plus cases, speakers etc.
If you would like a presentation to be made to a group in a Retirement Home, Village, day centre or other meeting place to introduce the concept, please use our contact form or telephone for details.
